Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking x-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients
- Take and develop dental x-rays using proper techniques
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification from an accredited dental assisting program
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment
- Proficient in medical documentation and terminology
- Experience with Dentrix software is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Basic understanding of medical coding is beneficial
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
